Modmic static noise. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing a LOT of static noise in recordings, even when the mic is plugged directly into the SoundBlaster Z soundcard in the back of the PC. When opening games or applications my mic seemingly starts to be static and crackly when I talk. Not all setups will require one, but the USB adapter will amplify the sound produced by your ModMic; it will also eliminate any static or white noise you may be experiencing. So, I use a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD sound card with my Modmic 5 and headphones, which to my knowledge should really fix static noises like this. Modmic having constant static? Just got it, it has this weird constant static noise. Now my Modmic is picking up all mouse clicks, other sounds and even very faint touches on the keyboard, I've turned off stereo mix and Clean up audio and video recordings, reduce background noise and music using the next-generation technology developed in-house by LALAL. What version of Voicemod are you using? Try lowering the noise reduction to zero by clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right.
